It's the character babies that give us the best shots. We've been photographing babies for nearly 19 years and we've become quite the baby wrangling experts. Wobbly, teething, over it, all part of the job. Your job is to relax and leave them to us.

Yes. Every baby we photograph for the project is in the book. To keep the design consistent we choose the images, and we'll be picking our absolute favourites.

6 months to 2 years. But we're flexible, it's a guide more than a hard rule.

Around two hours all up. The shoot itself runs about 45 minutes, then there's a break for a feed and a settle, then half an hour or so choosing your photos. Never more than two and a half hours.

From August, running through until we're full.

We'll sort that out together on the phone when you book. Tell us what you'd love and we'll do our best, though popular letters do fill. We cap each letter at four babies, so the earlier you book the more choice you'll have. Your baby doesn't need to eat a thing, the food is the prop and the theme. Fussy eaters very welcome.

We have a gorgeous wardrobe of outfits that you are welcome to use. Our outfits are more of the timeless style rather than heavily themed. For your book image, we'll provide the props, but you are also welcome to bring some along.

Yes! Parents, siblings, grandparents, the dog. Only your baby appears in the book, but the session is for all of you.

There's no obligation to order. Here's how the book works. Every baby photographed is included, and the book has two parts. Babies whose families order portraits have a full page. Babies whose families don't appear together on a contributors page at the back.

Portrait sales are also how the fundraising happens, since 5% of everything ordered goes to The Kids' Cancer Project. So the families who order are the ones raising the money.

After your shoot you'll take a short break, then we'll look through the images together and you can choose what you love

Most families spend somewhere between $800 and $2,700 depending on what they go for. Layby is available across everything, so you can spread it over up to twelve months. You'll have the full price guide well before your session, and your $100 credit comes off any of our digital or print collections. Individual fine art prints start at $250.

Absolutely, we have digital file collections and matching digital files are provided with any printed artwork ordered.

Once all sessions are complete and the book is designed. We’ll update you on timelines.
